St. Louis center who led Saint Louis University to the 1948 NIT title and was named AP Player of the Year in 1949. MVP of the first NBA All-Star Game in 1951 and a seven-time All-Star. His 1956 trade to St. Louis sent Bill Russell's draft rights to Boston, a deal he asked owner Walter Brown to make.
