Branch McCracken
Hall of Fame class of 19601 card
Indiana's scoring star of the late 1920s. He led the Hoosiers in scoring three straight years, set the Big Ten single-season scoring record in 1930, and scored 32% of all points his teams scored across his playing career. He is better remembered as a coach, with two NCAA championships at Indiana, and he is still the youngest coach ever to win the tournament. But the Hall enshrined him as a player in 1960. No card was issued during his playing days. His earliest cardboard is a Hall of Fame bookmark from a series that began the year he turned sixty.
